HISTORICALLY INTERESTING MATERIAL
According to its statutes, "the purpose of the Historical Library of Swiss Pharmacy is the acquisition, preservation and valorisation of books, printed matter, images and archival material of historical interest to Swiss Pharmacy".
The "Historical Library of Swiss Pharmacy" is first of all a tool for researchers. But it is also part of a scientific-historical perspective, since its works are a mirror of the science and pharmaceutical practice of the last five centuries, a portrait of the great stages of pharmaceutical research. Finally, like other museum institutions, it can be considered as a collection with cultural and even aesthetic value, the book as a museum object.

La nouvelle introduction des études de pharmacie à l'Université de Berne permet désormais de réaliser des travaux de master en histoire de la pharmacie. Ainsi, pour 2024, trois thèmes seront traités, dont un travail sur les ex-libris des pharmaciens, en Suisse. notamment Ce travail est dirigé par deux membres du conseil de notre bibliothèque, la Dre Sara Ruppen et le Prof. François Ledermann. Nous recherchons ainsi des ex-libris appartenant à des pharmaciens suisses.

ex-libris
et la documentation qui va avec, biographie des détenteurs, des artistes, de la thématique, etc.
